A successful conference was held for empa Members and invited guests at the National Space Centre on Friday 5 February 2010.
The conference was opened by Councillor Ross Willmott, Leader of Leicester City Council and Lynn Cave, Vice-Chair of empa and Director of Strategic Asset Management at Leicester City Council.

Alan Coole, Scape's Development Manager gave a review of a successful year of activities since the previous year's conference.
Richard Baggaley of South Holland District Council and Steve Elkin of Willmott Dixon Construction, who are working together on the Red Lion redevelopment area, provided an insight into how the Scape/empa Frameworks work.
A presentation on empa and the Social Economic Agenda was provided by Mohammed Shaffi, of Nottingham City Council..
Chris Ward-Brown, emda looked at the regional economy, sustainable solutions and iNET.
Making a case for efficiency savings was delivered by John Ioannou of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC).
Richard Hanson, Chair of empa and Service Director (Property) Nottinghamshire County Council talked about empa's impending and future initiatives.
The day was summed up by Mark Robinson CEO, Scape.
